Shopping Service PDF Print E-mail

What is the Shopping Service?

It is a service for older people in Southport & Formby who are unable to shop for themselves.

Priority is given to older people who have no family or friends to support them.

How often is shopping done?

Shopping can be done either weekly, fortnightly or occasionally, as we try to fit in with each individuals needs.

How can I help?

Could you give a couple of hours of your week to help shop for older people in your area? We shop in Southport and in Formby.

We are always in need of volunteer shoppers. Volunteers meet weekly and are taken to a major supermarket by minibus. Once the shopping is done, other volunteers deliver the shopping in the minibus and collect payment. Please contact Jan if you can offer a hand.
