Innov8 is a peer mentoring program that recruits, trains and supports peer mentors aged 16-25 in Sefton. Mentors help young people with extra support needs to build self-confidence and develop skills to enable them to access volunteering.

If you know of any young people who you think will benefit from being on the project as a mentee or a mentor or you require any further information, then please contact

Mentor Training

We have just completed our latest BTEC level 2 accredited training for mentors. The next training session will be announced in the near future. Mentor training covers effective communication skills, boundaries and confidentiality in mentoring.

To be a mentor you only have to give 1 hour of your time a week. If you are interested becoming a Mentor on the project, please contact the office or click here to register.

Organisation Steering Group

To develop the project further, we are looking to create a steering group of key organisations to assist and steer the direction of the project. If you're an organisation that would like to have a say in how youth mentoring should be developed, please contact Marie Morgan, Innov8 Mentoring Project Manager, on 01704 501024, ext. 206 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

InnoV8 Social Events

             Oct Social                 Social

We often hold team building and social events for our volunteers. This is a great way to meet new people, build on your social skills and have some fun! At Christmas we went to see Jack and the Beanstalk at Southport Theatre and in April we enjoyed a meal at Chinese Delight in Waterloo.

May has been a busy month in which we enjoyed a night of comedy in Liverpool at the Stand Out comedy club, one of the only comedy clubs for young people in the UK.

Also in May we went for a walking tour of Liverpool with local historian and Radio Merseyside celebrity, Frank Carlyle. Frank has in the past guided Prince Charles around Liverpool so we were very honored to have hime working with Innov8. For more information about Frank and his tours, visit his website www.liverpoolunravelled.com
