Volunteer Centre Sefton offers information, advice and guidance on all aspects of volunteering to potential volunteers and recruiting groups and organisations. If you are aged over 25 and interested in volunteering, click here for more information on how we can help you. 

If your organisation currently involves volunteers then the Volunteer Centre could help by providing advice and information on issues relating to volunteering; offering guidance and support on recruiting and supporting volunteers; recruiting and referring suitable new volunteers; helping to develop volunteering related policies and practices. vinvolved is the new national youth volunteering programme for 16-25 year olds.

No matter what you’re into, what skills or experience you have, whether you’re new to volunteering or have done it before, we can help you find a new volunteering opportunity.

We also believe in recognising the amazing things you do, so we can provide v Awards to record, recognise and reward the positive impact you have made through volunteering!

Support and resources for any organisation involved in Mentoring & Befriending including set up, training, monitoring and evaluation, best practice and Approved Providers Standard accreditation.

Achieving People                                               AP logo

Achieving People will support people aged 18 – 64 who have a learning disability into volunteering, unpaid work placements and paid employment.
Clients will be supported by a mentor in their chosen opportunity.

Handy Help Service

The Handy Help Service carries out accident prevention work and small household repairs for people over 60 in Southport and Formby.

North Sefton Social Inclusion Project for Older People

Ageing Well Clubs

These clubs are for older people who find themselves socially isolated for whatever reason, once again giving them the opportunity to socialise and make friends. Click here to find out more.

Shopping Service

The Shopping service is for older people in Southport & Formby who are unable to shop for themselves.We have a team of volunteers that help with weekly shopping and delivery. Click here to find out more.
